That means, there\u2019s amazing shows everywhere. From Greenpoint to Bushwick to Far North East Williamsburg, or whatever the newest, cool made-up neighborhood is. Feeling overwhelmed? <\/iframe><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\nOther Music Farewell Shows<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\nAs we\u2019ve written about before, Manhattan record store Other Music will be closing at the end of this month. But, you can catch an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/1041363812565453\/\" target=\"_blank\">awesome goodbye show at Bowery Ballroom<\/a> on 6\/28. Performers will include Yo La Tengo, Julianna Barwick, Sharon Van Etten, Frankie Cosmos, Helado Negro, Menahan Street Band, Matana Roberts, and John Zorn\u2019s Simalacrum (with John Medeski, Matt Hollenberg, and Kenny Grohowski). From the venue\u2019s page: \u201cMembers of The Bohemian Grove present a new space: The Glove\u2026 an experimental venue, theater, gallery, and multimedia studio space.\u201d It is located in Bushwick between the Kosciusko and Gates stop on Broadway.<\/span><\/p>\nHowever, posts today indicated that both the Grand Victory in Williamsburg and Secret Project Robot in Bushwick will cease operating at their current locations, because of rising rents.<\/li>\n<li>\nStream Mitski\u2019s Puberty 2<\/i><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\nThe Brooklyn-based singer songwriter has received rave reviews for her new album, Puberty 2.<\/i> It comes out next week via Dead Oceans, but you can <a href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/2016\/06\/01\/480340979\/first-listen-mitski-puberty-2\" target=\"_blank\">listen to the stream on NPR<\/a> and check out the video for \u201cYour Best American Girl\u201d below.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Mitski - Your Best American Girl (Official Video)\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/u_hDHm9MD0I?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\nLithuania Single Benefits \u2018Women Against Abuse\u2019<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\nThis week the band premiered \u201cKill The Thing You Love,\u201d a song that wasn\u2019t included on their last album,\u00a0Hardcore Friends,<\/em> but will be released as a single. All proceeds from the song will benefit \u2018Women Against Abuse,\u2019 an organization that provides domestic violence services.
