There\u2019s a cute dog and cat on the cover of Built To Spill<\/a>\u2019s upcoming\u00a0album, Untethered Moon. <\/i>I could only take that as a good sign that I\u2019d like their new song, and I was right. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNever Be The Same\u201d layers strummed guitars over a laid back groove, in the form of a killer bass line. \u201cGo everywhere you wanna go\/ See everything you wanna see\/If that\u2019s what you want, you got it, you got it\u201d Doug Martsch sings. His\u00a0voice wavers between being\u00a0encouraging over a\u00a0new beginning, and somber because it means the\u00a0end of something else and\u00a0things will, of course, never be the same.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is the band\u2019s eighth album, and the first with drummer Steve Gere and bassist Jason Albertini. Untethered Moon <\/i>will be available digitally<\/a> on April 21st, and on vinyl as a Record Store Day<\/a> exclusive on April 18th. Check out “Never Be The Same” below!<\/span><\/p>\n
