  • Listen To “Murdered Out” By Kim Gordon

“Murdered Out”  is what you call a car that’s been covered with black matte spray to strip it of identifiable features; covering up logos, tinting the windows. The trend’s popularity in Gordon’s hometown of Los Angeles inspired her new track, which is also the first time she’s released a song under her own name. It’s quite a debut, with a sinister, almost dancey foundation under her trademark breathy, rhythmic vocals.  As Gordon told NPR, Producer Justin Raisen provided the rhythmic structure of the song as well as the bass, while she added vocals and guitar and Stella from Warpaint played drums.
